Bob Mumgaard sees a future powered by clean, unlimited, fusion energy. In 2018, he founded CFS, a fusion energy startup company out of MIT. CFS's goal is to commercialize fusion power and bring clean energy to the grid to combat climate change. It has raised more than $2 billion from leading global investors.
Mumgaard has a Ph.D. in applied plasma physics and an M.S. in nuclear engineering from MIT, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering and a B.S. in engineering physics from the University of Nebraska.
